It is possible that your physician or therapist can be an ally in treating panic attacks. The more involved you are in your treatment the better off you will be. Thanks for such a helpful website on the subject. My partner suffers from agoraphobia and myself, from panic attacks for many years. The whole subject of mental health is a bit touchy with me and finding my own way to get the problem sorted was more comfortable than going to therapists and counsellors. My GP seems to think it’s all in my mind (ha! the irony!), and I should pull myself together. Knowing there are other people going throught he same symptoms and knowing how they deal with it is a big comfort.
